Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri-starrer Animal scripted box office records with the mammoth success. Though the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial was surrounded by various controversies, moviegoers loved the movie a lot. Now, all eyes are on its sequel Animal Park. While it is confirmed that the sequel is on the cards, fans are awaiting the related updates. Though the makers are yet to share any update, actor Saurabh Sachdeva, recently disclosed that the production of Animal Park will likely get delayed for Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
A report by News 18 states that the production might get delayed as Ranbir is busy with Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana and Sandeep is working on Prabhas' next, Spirit.
During the interview, Sachdeva, who portrayed the character of Abid in Animal, said that Ranbir is currently occupied with Ramayana. Further, he stated that he hadn't discussed the matter with production or director.
He was quoted as saying, "Sandeep Reddy Vanga said ‘abhi toh time hai, I’m making the other film (Prabhas’ Spirit). And Ranbir is doing Ramayana so usmein bahut time lagega."
Furthermore, Sachdeva expressed uncertainty over the release of Animal Park. He suggested that the sequel may be released in 2026 or 2027. Talking about the sequel's story, he added that he is not aware of the story if it has been written or if there is a rough structure of the story.
Sachdeva Heaps Praise On Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor played the character of Ranvijay Singh Balbir in Animal and got flooded with praise for his powerful performance. Even the audience lauded Bobby, Rashoo, Triptii and Anil for their respective roles. Sachdeva's role was also applauded by all.
During an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, Sachdeva heaped praise on RK. He said that Ranbir was beautiful and was present on the set, whenever he (Sachdeva) arrived. Further, Sachdeva stated that though he was unaware of Ranbir's method, the Barfi! The actor didn't overanalyze.
Sachdeva was quoted as saying, "His body moves before his mind, and emotions move. So, I like those kinds of actors those whose body reacts first, and then their emotions and minds always follow. I was like, ‘Wow’. I really admire him."
Sachdeva, who is well known for having retrained actors like Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Varun Dhawan, Harshvardhan Rane, Triptii Dimri, Vaani Kapoor and many more, will be next seen in Bad Cop.
