Ananya Panday is currently busy promoting her upcoming movie Dream Girl 2 with Ayushmann Khurrana. The young Bollywood beauty has always been open about her fashion and cosmetic preferences and earlier had said that she uses kitchen ingredients most of the time to enhance her beauty.
The one ingredient that is the star of all her DIY beauty solutions is coffee. She uses it in almost all her beauty packs.
As an exfoliate
The Bollywood beauty uses coffee to exfoliate her skin and get rid of the dirt on her face. For preparing an exfoliating face pack mix half a cup of coffee grains with half a cup of granulated sugar. To this, add one-fourth cup of coconut oil and then turn it all into a proper mixture by adding 2 tablespoons of warm water.
The ingredients dissolve properly due to warm water. Rub this mixture on the face, and target areas where the dirt or sebum accumulation is maximum such as the forehead and nose.
Keep this face pack for 5 to 10 minutes and then wash with warm water. If you have oily skin then keep the use of coconut oil to a minimum or else it can lead to clogging of the pores.
Sunburn removing scrub
Coffee is known for its anti-aging properties. When used with Aloe Vera and rose water, it can effectively remove sunburn and combat tan. Aloe Vera is a well-known anti-bacterial agent that prevents wrinkling of the skin and its hydrating properties reduce redness. Rose water contains vitamin E that acts as a skin coolant and reduces inflammation while improving SPF efficacy.
Ananya Panday during one of her interviews revealed that she uses this scrub for removing sunburn. Mix half cup of coffee grains with 5 to 6 tablespoons of rose water and 3 to 4 tablespoons of Aloe Vera. Mix the ingredients properly and apply the pack all over the face. Keep this mask for 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
For removing dark circles
Dark circles are a big beauty problem. That is why many celebs try fillers but it is a temporary solution which many times backfires. You can eliminate dark circles by adding a tablespoon of honey to 1/4th cup of coffee grains. Apply this paste for a few minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
