Akshay Kumar is currently going through a bad phase. Most of his movies released in the last few years have flopped badly. His previous release Sarfira received the lowest opening ever for any Akshay Kumar film which seems to have left the Bollywood superstar depressed a lot. While the actor has faced a bad patch even at the start of his career, no one had imagined that Khiladi Kumar would lose his grip on the box office so badly.
Recently, the Sooryavanshi co-star opened up about the lull in his career and even recalled when producers did not pay him for the work done in his movies. During an interview with Mama Earth Founder Ghazal Algah, he said that he stopped communicating with producers who cheated him. The actor said that he just does not speak to the producers who do not pay him and become silent and it has happened to him many times in the past.
Although Akshay Kumar did not take the names of the producers who did not pay him, there were strong rumours during the 90s that India’s leading production house YRF did not pay the actor for the cameo he made in Dil Toh Pagal Hai which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead.
For a long time after that, the Hera Pheri actor stopped working with them and it was only during the film Tashan when YRF tried for a truce did the actor once again started working with the production house. But it seems it is the destiny of YRF and Akshay that their relationship will not remain good for a long time because the two had a very bad fallout after the debacle of Prithviraj Chauhan.
Aditya Chopra was quite upset when Akki refused to grow a mustache for the role of the last Hindu King and used a false mustache. Further, since the film flopped badly it once again led to things getting sour between Akshay Kumar and YRF.
