Actress Kangana Ranaut, who recently stepped into politics, has been campaigning in the Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh with high spirits. However, her recent remarks during a speech have sparked discussions on social media. During her speech, she compared her influence and status in the film industry with Millennium star Amitabh Bachchan.
Recently, a short clip from her speech is circulating on social media. In the clip, she can be heard saying, "Sara desh hairan hai, ke wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mein West Bengal chali jau, chahe mein Delhi chali jau, chahe Manipur chali jau, aisa lagta hai ki mano, itna pyaar aur itna samman, mai dave ke saath keh sakti hoon ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industry me milta hai toh woh mujhe milta hai (The whole country is surprised, whether I go to Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi or Manipur, it feels like, there is so much love and respect, I can confidently say that after Amitabh Bachchan ji, who gets much love and respect in the industry, I get).
Well, such a statement has sparked an online debate on social media with netizens expressing their opinions.
Earlier, Kangana also compared herself with legendary singer and the Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar after several Bollywood biggies and celebrities from other industries attended the pre-wedding bash of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Taking an indirect jibe at the celebrities who performed at the event, she wrote, "Lataji and I are the only two persons who have massive hit songs to our credit but no matter how many temptations I got I never danced in the weddings."

A couple of weeks ago, she even went on to call herself and Shah Rukh Khan the 'last generation of superstars'. She further stated that her decision to enter into politics was not driven by the poor box-office performance of her recent films.
On the work front, she will be next seen in the Hindi film Emergency, wherein she plays the role of the former Prime Minister of India, the late Indira Gandhi.
