Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan set a milestone with 2008's action-thriller Ghajini. It became the first Indian movie with over Rs 100 crore box office collection. Recently, reports have been abuzz that Aamir has started brainstorming to develop Ghajini into a franchise and looking for a worthy subject for the Ghajini sequel. Now, after the PK actor, South ace filmmaker AR Murugadoss is reportedly considering coming up with a Ghajini sequel, starring Suriya in the lead.
As per reports, Murugadoss, who is currently busy with Salman Khan's Sikandar, aims to revisit the iconic character of Sanjay Ramasamy in Ghajini. The filmmaker is interested in exploring the character more deeply having a massive budget.
However, Ghajini 2 won't be happening any time soon. As Suriya has his commitments to fulfil, Murugadoss is also busy with a few projects.
If the reports are anything to go by, after setbacks with Mahesh Babu's Spyder and Rajinikanth's Darbar, Murugadoss eyes a thumping comeback in the industry with the Ghajini sequel.
