Throwing light on his take on sexuality during a recent interview Abhay Deol said that the Western spectrum of sexuality is black and white and hence he refuses to accept it. Rather he finds the Eastern take on sexuality very much different as it considers a person as a whole while considering his sexuality. The Aisha actor said that he never defines his sexuality and does not think that sexuality can be defined.

Talking to The Dirty Picture magazine for which this particular photoshoot was arranged, he said, “We are all they/them, I think it’s more for the other person’s comfort so that they can put you in a box, neatly slot you. Why should I deny myself in Western terms? I have embraced all experiences in my life and I continue to do so. I don’t know how to label that, I don’t want to label that. All of us have a masculine and feminine within us, so in my opinion, we are all they/them.”
