Kartik Aaryan is back in the headlines following his 'revelations' on losing films to star kids. Though he has 'made peace' with losing opportunities to industry insiders, his statement has once again sparked the nepotism debate. Meanwhile, Koki teaming up with Karan Johar for 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' has ended the rumoured rift between the duo. Amid this, Kartik was recently spotted sporting a new look and he spilt the beans that it is for his upcoming flick with Basu Dada (Anurag Basu).
Notably, Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu were to team up for Aashiqui 3. Even Koki was quite excited about the flick. However, due to legal disputes over the title 'Aashiqui' things were put on hold. While earlier reports claimed that Triptii Dimri was locked as the lady lead for the film, the recent buzz in the industry claimed that she was dropped for lacking innocence. Later, Basu cleared the air that 'lacking innocence' was not the reason.
While there is no official confirmation, Kartik recently dropped a big hint that 'Aashiqui 3' will possibly kick off soon.

Recently, a video surfaced on the internet in which Kartik is seen sporting a new look. The actor made a stylish appearance at an event in Mumbai. He was seen sporting long hair and a long beard. During an interaction with the paparazzi, Koki shared that his new look is for an upcoming film with Anurag Basu.
In the video, paps appreciated Koki's new look to which the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor responded, "It's for my next film, thank you."
When further the paps asked him if he had received any Hollywood offers after the transformation, he replied, "Ye Bollywood movie hai, Basu Dada ki movie hai."
Though the Chandu Champion actor didn't reveal much and walked off, fans speculate that it is Aashiqui 3. However, there is no official confirmation backing the claims. The yet-to-be-titled movie is touted to be an intense love story, backed by Bhushan Kumar. The movie will reportedly go on the floors by the end of this month. If the reports are anything to go by, the makers have planned for a marathon schedule from January to April. Even reports claim that Munjya fame Sharvari Wagh has replaced Triptii as the lady lead.
However, fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers.
