New Delhi: In a major announcement today, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to offer 83 Under Graduate (UG) and 40 Post Graduate (PG) Non-Engineering MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) in the July 2021 semester on its SWAYAM platform.
In a letter to all the Vice Chancellors of Universities and Principals of colleges, the Commission wrote, “In the current scenario of the second wave of the COVID-19, Universities & Colleges are requested to make optimum use of the SWAYAM online platform for the benefit of the students/learners.”
The list of 83 UG and 40 PG MOOCs courses, which are ready to be offered on the SWAYAM platform in July-October Semester 2021 can be seen at: https://swavam.qov.in/CEC.

“Looking at the current COVlD-19 pandemic scenario, the Universities and colleges are requested to popularise these SWAYAM courses amongst Students and Faculty through websites and various social media handles,” the Commission urged.
