Woman BJP leader stoned to death in Odisha’s Keonjhar

In a tragic incident, a woman Pala singer was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Binida village under Pandapada police limits in Keonjhar late on Sunday night. The deceased has been identified as Satyabhama Singh.

As per initial reports, Satyabhama was been allegedly stoned to death by some unidentified miscreants. Source said, Satyabhama was a former samiti member and was also vice president of Pandapada mandal for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Whether Satyabhama has been murdered over some dispute over other Pala group members or there is some political rivalry has not yet been ascertained yet.

Recently, Satyabhama had picked up some quarrels with other group members. Similarly, she was playing a crucial role in strengthening the party’s base in the area.

Senior police officials said that an investigation has already started based on these two aspects and other angles.
