Woman accuses OSAP 6th BN constable of cheating on pretext of marriage

A woman has levelled serious allegations of cheating and fraud against a constable of OSAP 6th battalion in Bhubaneswar. The accused constable has been identified as Pritiranjan Behera.

The victim on Tuesday moved the Bhubaneswar DCP after no action was allegedly taken by Mancheswar Police on her complaint.

The victim alleged that the constable maintained physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage. After staying together in a live-in relationship, the accused constable started avoiding her.

“He (Pritiranjan) had kept me at a rented house and we were staying together. Later, he escaped and blocked me on social media as well as blocked my mobile phone number,” alleged the victim.

The victim has also alleged that the constable also took Rs 20 lakh and other gold ornaments from her.

Meanwhile, the accused constable and senior police officials could not be contacted over the allegations.
