A woman YouTuber from Delhi, Namra Qadir was detained after she allegedly threatened to incriminate a 21-year-old businessman in a fictitious rape case. She allegedly honey trapped the businessman to collect more than Rs 80 lakh from him.
According to the police, Namra Qadir (22) had allegedly honey-trapped Dinesh Yadav (21), and threatened to implicate him in a false rape case.
The police are conducting raids to nab her husband and co-accused, Manish alias Virat Beniwal, who is still absconding.
According to the Police, Qadir has confessed to the crime. She was arrested from Delhi on Monday and taken on a four-day police remand.
On YouTube, Namara Qadir has a large fan following. She has about 6 lakh subscribers on You Tube, and about 2 lakh users on Instagram. She is wedded to Virat Beniwal and resides in Gurgaon. The duo frequently creates comedy reels and uploads them on various social media platforms.
As per the report, Qadir allegedly told Yadav that she wanted to marry him and that work was only a ruse to get close to him. The couple became friends with Yadav and started hanging out with him.
They made hotel reservations and stayed there. The following morning, the couple announced their marriage and took the businessman's iWatch while threatening to accuse him of rape. Beniwal allegedly brandished a gun and threatened to frame him.
Yadav claimed they tried to extort him out of Rs 80 lakh.
