VSSUT student Chinmayi’s post-mortem report denies strangulation, confirms drowning: Sambalpur SP

“The mark on the deceased’s neck found during inquest is not a strangulation mark. Death is not due to strangulation and asphyxiation,” Sambalpur SP B. Gangadhar clarified.

At a time when family members of VSSUT student Chinmayi Sahu are alleging that she was strangulated before throwing into the water, her post-mortem report mentions drowning as the cause of death.

Sambalpur SP B. Gangadhar addressing a press meet on Sunday said, “The post-mortem report mentions drowning as the cause of death. Now our investigation is focused on ascertaining whether it was a suicidal drowning or murder. We have collected CCTV footage from various locations to examine if there is any evidence that they had any problem.”
