A tragic and mysterious incident has come to light in Phasiguda village under Digapahandi police limits in Odisha’s Ganjam district, where the body of a transgender was found in a locked house. The deceased has been identified as Archita Bishoyi, a transgender individual known for performing in traditional Danda Nacha festivals.

According to local sources, Archita had actively participated in the Danda Nacha celebrations held in the village just a day earlier. As part of the performance troupe, she had enacted various devotional roles along with other artists. After the event concluded late at night, Archita had reportedly stayed back in a house in the village to rest.

However, the situation turned grim the following morning when her lifeless body was discovered under suspicious circumstances, raising serious concerns and speculation among the locals about the cause of death.

Upon receiving the information, police officials from Digapahandi Police Station rushed to the spot and began a detailed investigation. The body has been recovered and sent for post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death.
