Sextortion: Boyfriend blackmailed a minor girl to steal 5 lakh and jewellery from her own house

In another case of sextortion, a minor girl has admitted to stealing 5 lakh rupees and jewellery from her own house. According to Mumbai Police, a young man has been arrested for allegedly blackmailing his minor girlfriend by taking naked photos of her. 

As per reports in online news portals the minor met a man named Aman in 2019 outside her school. They later became friends and the boy took objectionable photos of her. Later he started blackmailing her and threatening to make photos live if she did not bring money. The girl succumbed to the blackmail and began stealing jewellery from the house, giving it to Aman, including a diamond ring, necklace, neck diamond set, diamond bangles, gold chain, and gold locket.

When the jewellery went missing, the family filed a police complaint. When the police took the girl in confidence and questioned her, she admitted to the crime.

The police officer stated, "She narrated her story, revealing how Aman was blackmailing her, had even locked her in the room, and had threatened to make her photos and video public if she failed to bring more money. 
The accused has been booked under various sections of the IPC, including extortion and kidnapping.
