Retired Indian Army personnel and his family looted at gunpoint in Odisha

In a disturbing incident, a retired Indian Army personnel was looted of cash and gold ornaments worth lakhs of rupees at gunpoint in his house. The intruders threatened his family members, forcing them into submission, and proceeded to steal cash worth several lakhs along with gold jewellery before escaping.

The incident has been reported from Sana Dumermunda village under the jurisdiction of Gobindpur police station in Sambalpur district. Saroj Nayak, the retired personnel, alleged that the robbery occurred late Thursday night.

According to Saroj Nayak, six masked assailants entered his house armed with guns. They held him and his family members at gunpoint and fled with all the cash and gold, silver ornaments kept in the house.

A complaint has been lodged at the local police station following this midnight robbery. Police have launched an investigation into the matter to nab the culprits.
