Raid on bars for flouting norms in Bhubaneswar

Once again rampant violation of existing norms by several night clubs and bars has come to fore following inspection by Commissionerate Police on Saturday night in Bhubaneswar.

The raids were conducted as part of a special drive to check non-compliance of the norms and guidelines by the night clubs and bars in different parts of the city.

During the drive, a club and kitchen was found operating at around 1:45 am under Infocity police limits. Many customers were also found present inside the bar beyond the specified time.

Over 100 customers were found enjoying the dance floor and bar in another hotel in Infocity police station area. The unit was functioning till 2:30 am. During the raid, it was found that the staffs were engaged in serving food and liquor to the customers.
