Political violence in Odisha: Youth critical in attack by miscreants, 1 detained

Once again tension gripped Odisha's Ganjam following a murderous attack on a youth over suspected political rivalry. As per initial reports, the youth was reportedly attacked inside his house at Parinuagaon village in the district.

Sources said that three persons entered the house of the youth and attacked him with sharp weapons. Later, the injured youth was rushed to MKCG hospital in Berhampur in a critical condition.

The exact reason behind the attack is still unclear. Meanwhile, police have detained one person in connection with the attack.
