The Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Bijay Kumar Mangaraj, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO) in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case registered against him. Moreover, the anti-corruption agency today confirmed that Mangaraj owns a two-storeyed bungalow in Ernakulam, Kerala.
Earlier searches were carried out at multiple locations linked to Mangaraj on Friday. He was found in possession of disproportionate assets including double-storeyed buildings in Bhubaneswar, a double-storeyed bungalow in Kerala and two high-value plots in Bhubaneswar.
Besides, the OSRTC official had deposits of over Rs.1.47 crores, gold 500 gms, 2 four wheelers which he could not give any satisfactory answer, Vigilance said in a release.
