Odisha Vigilance unearths massive wealth of junior clerk
The Odisha vigilance sleuths on Friday unearthed huge property and assets during raids carried out on premises linked to a junior clerk working at the District Education Office (DEO) in Balasore on Friday.
As per a report, several teams of the vigilance department conducted simultaneous raids at six places linked to the junior clerk Pradeep Das, including his residence, on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

The officials detected a two-storey market complex with 20 shops valued at Rs 1 crore, a three-storey building in Balasore, and six plots on the outskirts of Balasore town. At the time of filing the report, the officials were inspecting bank and insurance deposits and vehicles of the clerk.
Reportedly, Das had been under the Vigilance scanner for the last several years as there were some allegations of corruption against him.
