The Vigilance sleuths in Odisha today arrested a Public Prosecutor, appearing in anti-corruption cases at Bhawanipatna, for accumulating properties beyond his known sources of income.
Ashutosh Mishra, who was earlier arrested by the anti-graft agency for accepting bribe from a police official to hush up a case, was rounded up again on Friday by a special team of the Vigilance department from Cuttack. Mishra was out on bail in the earlier case.
Mishra is being questioned at a local vigilance office in Bhawanipatna over the source of his properties. He will be produced before a special court later today, officials added.

Earlier on July 3, Mishra was caught red-handed by personnel of the Vigilance Cell Division, Cuttack while he was accepting a bribe from an accused to hush up a case in the vigilance court.
The Public Prosecutor appearing for the Vigilance department at the special court in Bhawanipatna had allegedly accepted Rs 1 lakh bribe from an Assistant Sub-inspector who was earlier arrested by the anti-graft agency in a graft case.
Former ASI of Mahulapatna police outpost Malay Kumar Rana had been arrested by the Vigilance in a corruption case and was suspended later.
Mishra had allegedly demanded the bribe from Rana in order to help the later in a corruption case in which he had been charge sheeted.
In a separate incident of Vigilance crackdown, the anti-corruption unit raided the house of Turekela GPO Govind Bhoi in Bolangir district in connection with a disproportionate asset case filed against the public servant.
A joint team of vigilance officials from Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, and Sonepur carried out raids at five places including his residence at Kantabanji, ancestral house at Dhnadamunda, his office at Muribahal block and his photo studio.
