Odisha police officer caught red-handed while taking Rs 30,000 bribe

The sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Hindol in Dhenkanal district was on Wednesday caught by the Odisha Vigilance sleuths while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.

An Odisha police service (OPS) officer was on Wednesday apprehended by the sleuths of Odisha Vigilance for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,0000 from a stone quarry owner in Dhenkanal district. 

Malaya Kishore Nayak, the sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Hindol, was caught red-handed near Karanda Chhak while receiving the bribe money from the stone quarry owner for facilitating the transportation of stone-laden vehicles.
