Mutilated body of girl found in Keonjhar; rape and murder suspected

The recovery of a mutilated body of a girl near Singhabila bypass in Keonjhar district sent shockwaves in the area. It is suspected that the victim was killed after rape. The victim’s body was recovered from a bushy area along the Musala river.

As the body was recovered in a semi-nude condition with injury marks, it is suspected that the girl has been murdered after some sexual assault.

A team including Ghatagaon SDPO, officials of Harichandanpur Police and forensic experts have reached the spot for necessary investigation.
