In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly strangulated to death by her father on Tuesday. Sources informed that the accused strangulated his daughter during a fight with his wife over some family dispute.
According to sources, the incident was reported from Kendubahara village under Dharambandha Police Station of Nuapada district in Odisha.
The relatives of the victim said, that a quarrel broke out between the parents of the deceased. It is learned that the accused father was in an inebriated condition and in a fit of rage, he attacked the minor girl and strangulated her.
"I received a call that my son-in-law strangulated my granddaughter to death. The minor girl fell victim to an ugly fight between the parents," informed the maternal grandfather of the deceased minor.
As per reports, the accused father has been detained by police and is being interrogated.
