Man Held For Faking Own Murder
In a bizarre turn of events, a man from Rourkela Sector-18 attempted to stage his own murder but failed as the police unravelled the conspiracy. The entire plan was exposed when a misleading message led the authorities to investigate the so-called crime.
The incident came to light when Sanjay Deep received a text message on his phone, stating that the dead body of his brother-in-law was lying in the Sector-20 jungle.
“Sanjay received a message along with a picture on his WhatsApp about a body. A search operation was launched at the said spot. Later, we tracked Sanjay’s brother-in-law from the railway station. He had faked his own murder,” informed IIC Ranjan Nayak.

What Happened Next?
Shocked by the message, Sanjay immediately informed the police, triggering an investigation. Acting swiftly, the police launched a search operation and intensified their inquiry into the matter.
On further investigation, the police traced the supposed victim and uncovered the truth. The accused was found at the Rourkela railway station and was apprehended by Sector-19 police. Following his detention, the mystery behind the entire conspiracy was solved.

According to Police, Sanjay’s brother-in-law had taken a loan of Rs 50,000. He was unable to repay his debt as he had allegedly spent all the money.
Finding no other escape, he devised an elaborate plan to fake his own murder, hoping to mislead his family and avoid financial repercussions. However, his carefully planned deception fell apart when police connected the dots and exposed the truth behind the staged crime.
With this revelation, the police successfully cracked the orchestrated murder drama, preventing a potential case of deception from creating further panic in the family. The accused is now under police custody as further investigations continue.
