In a shocking turn of events, a man reportedly beat his wife to death after seeing her with another man. The incident has been reported from Tangarpali, Roukela. The man named Raisin Munda allegedly murdered his wife, Sabita Munda.
According to sources, Raisin had reportedly seen his wife with another man, which led to a heated argument between the couple. During the confrontation, Raisin is accused of brutally beating Sabita with a wooden stick, resulting in her death.
While the incident is believed to have stemmed from suspicions of an illicit relationship, police have yet to issue a clear statement regarding the motive behind the crime.
Brother Kills Brother Over Minor Dispute in Bargarh
Likewise, a tragic case of fraternal violence has emerged from Mahulpali village, under Barpali Police Station in Bargarh district, where a younger brother allegedly killed his elder brother. The victim has been identified as Gajani Ganita. The two brothers reportedly got into a quarrel over a minor issue, during which the younger sibling beat the elder with a wooden stick, leading to his death.
The accused has been detained by police, who are currently investigating the matter.
Grandmother Killed by Grandson in Sambalpur
In a deeply disturbing incident in Sagarjuri village under Charmal Police Station, Sambalpur, a grandmother was allegedly killed by her own grandson. The accused, Ajay Soren, reportedly beat his grandmother, Phuldi Soren, to death following a domestic dispute.
Ajay is currently on the run. Meanwhile, the Rairakhol SDPO and Charmal police have reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the case.
Woman ‘killed’ by husband over dowry after love marriage in Odisha’s Bolangir
In a shocking incident, a young woman was allegedly murdered by her husband for dowry at Bairasare village under Puintala police station in Bolangir district on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Diya Kumbhara. Diya from Beherapali area of Bolangir town, had married Dilip Kumbhara two years ago in a love marriage. The couple also has a six-month-old son.
As per reports, Dilip informed his in-laws that Diya had died by suicide on Saturday morning. However, Diya’s family has accused her husband of strangling her to death over dowry demands.
Woman Stoned To Death in Her Sleep
In a shocking case of suspected homicide, a 50-year-old woman, identified as Dukhi Nayak, was brutally murdered while she was asleep in her home at Saranakot village, under Barkote Police Station limits in Debagarh district.
According to police sources, the assailant struck the woman on the head with a heavy stone, leading to her death on the spot. The motive behind the murder remains unclear, and the identity of the attacker is yet to be confirmed.
Police have launched a probe with the assistance of a scientific team and sniffer dogs at the crime scene to gather evidence. The deceased woman’s husband and minor daughter, who were present in the house at the time of the incident, have been detained for questioning.
As per preliminary reports, the victim, her husband, and their daughter were all sleeping in the same house when the fatal attack occurred during the night. Investigators are exploring all possible angles, including personal and familial disputes.
Further investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events and identify the perpetrator.
