In a shocking incident, a man’s head was severed while four others were rendered critical following a group clash over accusations of witchcraft practice in the village Atgaon within the jurisdiction of Tusura police station of Odisha’s Bolangir district. The distressing incident took place late on Friday night.

As per reports, the violence reportedly erupted between two factions, leading to the brutal murder of 40-year-old Sushant Bag, whose head was allegedly severed from his body.

During the altercation, Bag was allegedly stoned to death with the attackers severing his head from his body. On the other hand, four individuals from the feuding groups sustained serious injuries. They are currently receiving medical care at Bhima Bhoi Medical Hospital in Bolangir.

On being informed, Tusura police rushed to the village and brought the situation under control. The police from Tusura are conducting an extensive investigation into the incident. Authorities have yet to confirm if arrests have been made, focusing their efforts on finding the parties responsible.
