Man axes wife to death in Odisha’s Kandhamal

In a tragic incident, a man allegedly killed his wife over suspected family feud at Krandibali village in Kandhamal district. The accused, identified as Narayan Bidhani, has been arrested for hacking his wife Laxmi with the help of an axe.

As per reports, Narayan along with his wife Laxmi had gone to the latter's brother’s house to attend some religious function. Both the couple picked up a quarrel over some issue during the event.

It is alleged that Nayaran got aggrieved and later axed his wife to death. The matter came to light after deceased Laxmi’s brother lodged a complaint with Gochapada Police Station in connection with the incident.

Later, senior officials reached the spot and arrested the deceased’s husband on the charges of murder. Senior police officials could not be contacted over the incident.
