A girl was saved from the clutches of the kidnappers due to swift action by police in Nayagarh district. As per reports, four persons had allegedly kidnapped the girl while she was returning home on her bicycle at Rajpatana area on Friday.
After dragging the girl inside the car, the four abductors fled towards Chandibasta area. On getting information about the kidnapping, Nayagarh Sadar Police swung into action and intercepted the car near Chandibasta road after a brief chase.
All the four accused involved in the alleged kidnapping case have been detained. They have been identified as Raghunath Pradhan, Santosh Dora, Kishore Chandra and Jitendra Biswal.
Meanwhile, further investigation in connection with the incident is underway.
