Homeless Couple Attacked On Bhubaneswar Street, Man Killed, Wife Critical

A man was reportedly killed while his wife sustained critical wounds in a stabbing attack in Bhubaneswar late Sunday night.

According to sources, the couple who lived along with their child on the footpaths near PMG square was attacked by some unknown miscreants last night.

The man was killed in the attack while his wife suffered grievous wounds. Their child left unscathed during the assault has been handed over to the Childline authorities, said sources.

The critically injured woman has been admitted to Capital Hospital where she is undergoing emergency treatment.

The motive behind the incident is however unclear and Kharavela Nagar Police have launched an investigation into the case.
