Hammer attack leaves youth in coma in Bhubaneswar

A youth has been left battling for his life after he was attacked with a hammer over suspected previous enmity. The incident occurred in front of Toshali Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The injured youth was rescued and rushed to the Capital Hospital where his condition remains critical.

The victim has been identified as Sk Saiful. According to sources, Sk was sitting in front of Toshali Bhawan with his friends when the miscreant attacked him with a hammer.

The accused has been identified as Kuna. 

"Three other youths were sitting on bikes. One youth came from behind and attacked one of them with a hammer and fled the spot. We ran after the accused, but could not catch him. We have learnt that the injured has been critically injured and is in comma," said an eye-witness.

The accused Kuna has been detained and is being questioned. The exact reason behind the attack is unclear.
