Female finance firm staffer bludgeoned to death on office premises in Deogarh

A woman employee of a finance company was allegedly stabbed and bludgeoned to death on the premises of her office at Pradhanpat Road in Deogarh district on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Rita Sahoo, who hailed from Kuchinda area in Sambalpur district.

According to sources, Sahoo was reportedly attacked by two miscreants while she was about to leave for home from her office at around 11 pm yesterday.

The miscreants stabbed Sahoo with a sharp weapon and repeatedly hit her with a wooden log before leaving the spot. Hearing her screams, other staff of the company rushed to her rescue, sources informed.

A profusely bleeding Sahoo was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) where doctor declared her dead.
