The Police Inspector who led the escort team which was shifting the gangster Hyder to Baripada Circle Jail from Choudwar Circle Jail on Friday, lodged a first information report (FIR) at the Simulia Police Station in Balasore district enumerating details of the encounter of the criminal.

Giving titbit details of Hyder's encounter, the complainant Gangadhar Saseni, a Police Inspector at Cuttack UPD, said that after receiving orders from the Cuttack Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court on July 24, he, along with SI Asit Ranjan Jena, H/M Gajendra Nath Soren and Havildars Surya Kumar Rout, Soumya Ranjan Rout, Satyajit Swain, Rohit Kumar Mallick, Purusottam Rout, Rajendra Nayak  and Kalpataru Nayak reached the Choudwar Circle Jail at 11.55 am where they received the convict, SK Hyder Ali, and left for Baripada Circle Jail at 12.40 pm.
