A young man from Delhi has been successfully rescued after an alleged kidnapping incident in the Chikitigarh area of Ganjam district in Odisha. The individual, along with three others, was reportedly taken hostage and confined in a house.
Surprisingly, the captives were reportedly threatened with a Cobra. The matter came to light after one of the abducted youths managed to escape and raised the alarm by contacting the local Tehsildar.
Subsequently the Tehsildar coordinated with police officers of Nuagaon police station who then rescued the remaining three hostages.

Chikiti Tehsildar said that 'a youth somehow managed to escape and reached our campus'. "He was becoming unconscious while talking to us. The youth was very terrified and plead to save them," he added.
The house where the youths were kept hostage was also searched by the police team. Surprisingly, police officials found that ganja cultivation was also going on in the backyard of the house.
The exact reason why the four youths were kidnapped is not clear. It is said that the four youths were working for a finance company. It is alleged that the kidnapper had demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore.
Of the four youths, one hails from Delhi while three others belong from Cuttack. They used to provide loans to businessmen.
