In a surprising incident unfolding in Bharatpur area in Bhubaneswar, a customer attacked a waiter for a brief delay of just two minutes in serving food. The altercation at a hotel near Ghatikiya Naka Gate was captured on the establishment's CCTV system.

Footage reveals the customer assaulting the waiter after requesting a meal and experiencing a short wait.

The hotel management promptly lodged a complaint at the local police station following the incident. Officers are currently examining the CCTV camera footage as part of their investigation.

The incident has sparked a discussion on customer service relations and expectations in the hospitality industry.

“I took the order and when I was serving them, they started beating me. I tried to stop them, but they mercilessly beat me up. All the five youths are locals and were drunk,” said the victim.

The hotel owner said, “It is not acceptable. The employees here are poor and working to fulfil the needs of their families. I was not present when the incident occurred. I cannot comment whether the youths were drunk or not.”
