Cousins found dead in Odisha; police service revolver recovered from spot

Two cousins, Manoj Jhankar and Seshadev Jhankar, were found dead in Chulimalagaon under Binika police limits, Subarnapur. Manoj, a police constable and PSO, had a quarrel with his cousin. Their bodies were discovered with bullet injuries and a police service pistol was recovered from the scene.

In a shocking incident, two persons were found dead while a police service pistol was recovered from the spot at Chulimalagaon under Binika police limits in Subarnapur on Tuesday.

The deceased duo has been identified as Manoj Jhankar and Seshadev Jhankar of Chulimalagaon. While they were cousin brothers, Manoj was a police constable and posted as a personal security officer (PSO).

As per sources, the two brothers reportedly had a quarrel over some matters. Soon, they lost their cool and engaged in a fight.

Later, the dead bodies with bullet injuries in their heads were found lying in a pool of blood in an open field.

On being informed, a team from Binika Police Station reached the spot, recovered the bodies and seized the pistol from the crime scene. 

The reasons behind the quarrel were yet to be ascertained. A detailed investigation was underway.
