The Bureau of Immigration (BoI) has issued a look out circular against Manoj Kumar Panda, Director of M/s Odyssa Homes & Commercials Pvt. Ltd. The circular has been issued against Panda on the request of Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar in connection with a complaint filed by a TCS employee and others.
The TCS employee, Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra and others had alleged that Directors of M/s Odyssa Homes & Commercials Pvt Ltd had duped the investors to the tune of Rs 20 crore on the pretext of providing them dispute free flats in its Apartment Project namely, ‘Ganapati Homes’ located in Sampur Mouza, Bhubaneswar near Kalinga Studio, in front of SOS Village.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the Directors of the accused company had collected around Rs 20 crore from 42 investors between 2013 and 2016 on the pretext of providing them flats. The company had promised to complete the flats by 2018.
The EOW in a release stated that necessary agreement and MOUs were also executed. However, no flat has been allotted to any of the investors.
“Rather, in order to cheat the investors, the Directors of the company knowingly lingered the process to hand over the plots and in the meanwhile, resold seven flats out of them to other customers,” the EOW said in its release.
The company and its Directors have also cheated so many other investors in their different projects. The present accused Manoj Kumar Panda was heading all affairs of the company and has allegedly cheated several investors in their different projects in the name of giving flats/lands.
Earlier, the MD of the company Arabindo Santra was arrested while two other Directors- Manoj KumarPanda and Saroj Panda are absconding in order to evade the police arrest.
“Anyone giving credible information leading to arrest of the above noted accused persons will be suitably rewarded. The information can be given on the Mobile number 8895301539. The name/details of the informer will be kept secret,” EOW said in its statement.
