Caught on camera: Miscreant snatches chain from woman in Bhubaneswar

After a brief lull, chain snatchers are having a field day in Bhubaneswar. Of late, one such chain snatching incident has created panic among residents of the State capital.

According to sources, a woman was offering water to Tulsi (Basil) plant on the premises of her house when a miscreant entered the premises and snatched chain from her before fleeing the spot.

Though the incident had taken place at IRC village under Nayapalli police limits on Monday, it came to the fore on Wednesday. However, the entire incident got captured in the CCTV cameras.

Nayapalli police registered a case on basis of a complaint filed by the victim’s family. 

In the CCTV footage, the miscreant was seen peeping through the gate before entering the premises of the house. When the lady was busy offering water to Tulsi plant, he snatched the chain from her by standing outside the campus.
