Blot on Khaki again in Odisha! IIC accused of misbehaving with woman staff in police station

At a time when there is a lot of hue and cry and outrage over the alleged custodial abuse of a serving Army officer and sexual assault of his fiancee by police officials at Bharatpur police station, another incident of misbehaviour of a woman staff at the police station has come to the fore in Odisha.

This time the Inspector-in-charge of Bondamunda Police Station is in dock for allegedly misbehaving with a woman employee of the police station.

Following the allegations, Rourkela SP immediately transferred the IIC and directed a woman DSP to probe the incident. The incident of a senior police official allegedly misbehaving with a woman staff at the police station has raised questions about the working of the Odisha Police.

The working of police officials has also come under scanner as they are also being accused of being involved in immoral acts.

Locals alleged that there have been two incidents of minor girl rape cases in the last four days in Rourkela. There is growing fear in the minds of people over the law and order which seems to have gone for a toss in Rourkela over such incidents.
