ASI, constable suspended after accused in violence case escapes from police station

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and a constable have been placed under suspension after an accused in the Brahman Taraboi violence case escaped from Delanga police station in Puri district.

As per initial reports, ASI Padmini Sahu and constable Rojalia Bakla have been suspended for dereliction of duty by Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh.

Sources said Delanga police had arrested one Kalia Majhi in connection with the group clash. Majhi gave the cops a slip after he was brought to the police station yesterday.
