8-Year-Old Chased, Hacked To Death In Bolangir

Bolangir: In a shocking incident, an eight-year-old boy was brutally hacked to death by a man in Pandaren village under Turekela police limits in Bolangir district on Thursday.

The murder is suspected to be a fallout of past enmity. The deceased has been identified by police as Parameswar Gahira of Panderan village.

As per reports, the accused Jiten Podha had attacked Parameswar's relative Dhanapad Gahira while he was working at the cotton field earlier in the day. Dhanpad fled the spot with mild injuries.

However, the accused went ahead and attacked Dhanpad’s nephew Parameswar with a sharp weapon killing him on the spot.

The accused managed to flee the spot before police could reach the spot. Turekela Police has launched a manhunt to nab him.
