Around 1,600 iPhones worth Rs 12 crore have allegedly been looted from a truck in Sagar of Madhya Pradesh. It has been found that a security guard, who was accompanying the truck, along with his associates overpowered the truck driver and looted the iPhones.
"We got information about the incident. There were around 3800 iPhones in the vehicle en route to Gurugram from Chennai," Pramod Verma, Inspector-General of Police of Sagar Zone said.
Verma further said that special teams have been formed to capture the accused.
"Some of our teams work in Sagar and others in Delhi and Faridabad areas. Today, we have called the representatives of three companies including the freight, phone, and security agency. The incident occurred on August 16 and it was reported later," said Verma.
