'Gang-raped' minor girl consumes poison to end life in Odisha

A minor girl, who was allegedly gang raped by her lover and his two friends, attempted to end her life by consuming poison on Friday.

The incident was reported from the Sadar Police limits area in Balasore district. 

The victim is presently undergoing treatment at the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). According to sources, her health condition is stable. 

According to a source, the lover of the girl and his two friends called her to a secluded place and took turns on her. 

On the basis of the victim's complaint, the police have detained the trio.
