40 injured after bus suffers tyre burst in Odisha’s Kandhamal

At least 40 persons were injured after a passenger bus met with an accident in Kandhamal district of Odisha on Tuesday.

As per initial reports, the mishap occurred near Mundasahi under Kotagarh Police limits when the bus named Salunki was heading to Phulbani from Muniguda.

It was suspected that the tyre of the bus burst after hitting an object along the road leading to the mishap. The wheel of the vehicle detached after the collision.

On being informed, police and fire services personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the passengers from the bus. The injured were subsequently rushed to a hospital in Kotagarh.
