New Delhi: The Union Ministry for Health and Family Welfare has issued guidelines for international arrivals into India through air, sea and land routes. In the issued guidelines, the ministry has made 14-day quarantine and installation of Aarogya Setu App mandatory for every person entering India.

As notified by the Union Ministry, before boarding, all travellers shall give an undertaking that they would undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days of which seven days are paid institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by seven days isolation at home with self-monitoring of health. In exceptional and compelling cases including human distress, pregnancy, death in the family, serious illness and parent(s) accompanied by children below 10 years, home quarantine may be permitted for 14 days.
