Cast Praises Aryan’s Vision
The BTS clip begins with Aryan wearing a cinematographer’s rig on the sets of The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. Arshad Warsi was quick to praise the young filmmaker, saying, “He’s one of those directors who cannot think small. He thinks big! He shoots in detail, he shoots how a film should be shot. So yes, that’s very nice.”
Actor Emraan Hashmi, who made a cameo appearance in the series, added, “He’s a stickler for perfection. He really wants what he wants, and I think I admire that in any director.”
Rapper Badshah also echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Aryan is great! I mean, the understanding that he has of a shot.”
Lessons From His Superstar Father
In his first-ever interview, Aryan revealed how his father introduced him to the nuances of filmmaking at an early age.
He told Variety, “My father himself is extremely in-depth about the aspects of filmmaking, whether it is VFX, whether it is lighting, camera work, whatever. And ever since I was a kid, he would show me this – ‘You don’t actually get shot. This is how it happens.’ Or, how do you make a plane fly through the sky without actually making a plane fly? And all of that was, obviously, it’s like magic to a child.”
Aryan also shared that during the lockdown, he wrote and shot a short film featuring his father and sister, Suhana Khan, an early glimpse into his creative journey.
