Rishab Shetty’s grit behind glory: A glimpse into the untold story of Kantara Chapter 1’s intense climax

Actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty recently shared unseen behind-the-scenes moments from the making of Kantara Chapter 1, revealing the sheer physical and emotional toll the film’s climax took on him. Taking to Instagram, the Kantara creator posted a series of photos showcasing his soot-covered feet, one visibly swollen and bruised, as he powered through the demanding sequence despite exhaustion.

Endurance and Devotion on Set

In his heartfelt caption, written in both Kannada and English, Rishab Shetty recalled, “This was during the climax shoot, a swollen leg, an exhausted body… but today, the climax has become something that millions watch and admire. This was only possible through the blessings of the divine energy we believe in. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who have supported us.” (sic)

The sequence, much like the epic climax of the 2022 original Kantara, was physically grueling yet spiritually charged - a reflection of Rishab’s deep-rooted connection with the film’s divine themes.

A Special Moment on KBC 17

Rishab Shetty’s journey with Kantara Chapter 1 has also led him to another memorable encounter - a meeting with Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17. Hombale Films shared a heartwarming post on the legend's birthday featuring Big B and Rishab.

In the photo, Amitabh Bachchan exudes his trademark charm in a white printed jacket paired with black trousers, while Rishab keeps it traditional in a black shirt and veshti.

The caption read, “Team #KantaraChapter1 wishes the Shahenshah of Indian cinema, the Legendary @amitabhbachchan sir a very happy birthday. Excited for the upcoming episode of #KaunBanegaCrorepati — it was an absolute joy joining you!” (sic)

The Kantara series remains one of Rishab Shetty’s most cherished creations, with him serving as the writer, director, and lead actor. Produced by Hombale Films, the franchise began its journey in 2022 with Kantara, a sleeper hit that went on to earn Rs 407.82 crore worldwide.
