Indian pop singer Badshah recently found himself at the center of controversy following the release of his Haryanvi song “Tateeree.” The track drew sharp criticism from several groups who alleged that its lyrics and visuals were offensive. Reports indicate that the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) initially summoned the rapper over the matter. Later, discussions reportedly began regarding the issuance of a Look Out Circular (LOC) to ensure he does not leave the country while the matter is under review.

The rapper maintained that he never intended to offend anyone and expressed regret if the song hurt sentiments. He further emphasised that he comes from Haryana himself and takes pride in his roots.
