The Incident At IFFI

During the ceremony, Ranveer praised Rishab, calling attention to his powerful performance. Video clips circulated showing him saying, “I watched Kantara Chapter 1 in theatres, and Rishab, it was an outstanding performance, especially when the female ghost (Chamundi daiva) enters your body - that shot was amazing.”

Ranveer then reenacted the sequence, making Rishab laugh at the moment. However, many took issue with the act, particularly because daivas, regarded as forest deities, were mistakenly called ghosts.
