On Friday, the makers officially announced the release date by unveiling a poster that read, “REMEMBER… #Spirit is set for a World release on March 5, 2027. #OneBadHabit.” Shortly after, Prabhas also took to Instagram to confirm the news, sharing the date against a stark black background. He captioned the post, “#Spirit is set for a World release on March 5, 2027,” officially starting the countdown.

After the massive impact of Animal, producer Bhushan Kumar and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga are reuniting for Spirit, continuing a collaboration known for bold storytelling and uncompromising creative vision. Designed as a large-scale pan-world entertainer, the film promises intensity, conviction and emotional depth.

First look poster sparks massive buzz

The excitement around Spirit began on New Year 2026, when Vanga unveiled the film’s chilling first-look poster. The striking image featured Prabhas in a never-seen-before avatar, showing his wounded back covered with bandages, while Triptii Dimri calmly lit his cigarette. The visual instantly went viral, with fans dissecting every detail.

In the film, Prabhas sports long hair, a thick beard and moustache, exuding a brooding and dangerous aura. His bruised, scarred body hints at a violent past and deep emotional wounds. Triptii Dimri’s understated yet powerful look—dressed in a grey-toned saree—creates a sharp contrast, adding intrigue to the narrative.

Recently, during a discussion featured in a People Media Factory video, Sandeep Reddy Vanga spoke about the intense fan reactions to the poster. He revealed how viewers read into small details, even speculating about the characters’ relationship. The filmmaker hinted that Prabhas and Triptii Dimri play a married couple in Spirit, teasing an emotional layer beneath the film’s raw exterior.

Prabhas, impressed by the concept, called it his “best poster till now” and described it as a “cult poster.”

Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga, Spirit also stars Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj and Kanchana in key roles.
