Chennai: The nation including all the music lovers who not only loved the mesmerising voice of the legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB), but revered the Padma Bhushan award-winning singer as the ‘God of music,’ is yet to come to terms with his untimely demise. Condolences poured in from all quarters from politicians to the who’s who of cine-industry following SPB's death from COVID-19.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief at the demise of SPB through a tweet that read, “With the unfortunate demise of Shri SP Balasubrahmanyam, our cultural world is a lot poorer. A household name across India, his melodious voice and music enthralled audiences for decades...”
